Stage 1: pool effect sizes

Stage 1 pools each variable pair into a correlation matrix.

How to

  1. 1In the Meta project's Data tab, define variables (Add Variables, Add Moderators) and fill the study table (one row per study: Pair, n, effect).
  2. 2Convert reported statistics with Converter if needed.
  3. 3Click Run Stage 1 Analysis in the Data toolbar.
  4. 4Choose the Stage 1 method (Univariate FE / RE, Hunter–Schmidt or TSSEM Stage 1), the effect size, model and τ² estimator, and run.
  5. 5Results show the pooled effects and R matrix, forest plots, heterogeneity, publication bias, sensitivity and the Stage 2 handoff.
